Good evening to all. Thank you for your interest in the WRQU236 (Florence 625) Linked repeater system. I'll be using this space to record status updates for the repeater.
The WRQU236 repeater system is a home-based linked repeater based out of Florence, South Carolina. Current equipment load-out:
- Retevis RT97s, Rated at 5.6 watts after the duplexer
- Harvest BC200 antenna tuned to the GMRS band.
- Raspberry Pi 4 B running on a distribution of Arch Linux with Asterisk app-rpt, connected to the MyGMRS network.
At present, the repeater is open to all who can reach it. The repeater is on the 462.625 and 467.625 frequency pairing with a CTCSS tone of 79.7 Hz. At this present time, the repeater has a range of about 3 miles, and there are plans to extend that range soon (more information about that later).
